The Irish Ladies Open took place last week in nearby Killeen Castle, only a few miles from Duffys of Ballybin, self-catering accommodation.
We got a daily update from the competitors and supporters, as to who was six-under and who was two-under.
On the last evening the guests asked for the name of a special restaurant nearby. We recommended The Snail Box, which is a old hunt pub with a restaurant run by Philip Foster. We go ourselves on special occasions, it’s a beautiful friendly family restaurant with great food. Tell them we sent you!
