If you’ve decided to stay in Meath with Duffys of Ballybin, check out Sonairte, which is an interactive visitor centre promoting ecological awareness and sustainable lving.
The centre is self-funded from sales in the garden, the Mustard Seed Cafe, the Eco Shop and environmental education programmes and courses. It provides ecology programmes for primary and secondary schools, Discover Primary Science and Maths Programmes, SEAI workshops outreach gardening in schools through the SEED network, school tours and adult education.
Sonairte aims to practice living sustainably, growing its own organic produce, supporting artisan food producers and craft workers through the Eco Shop and its monthly food and craft markets.
Sonairte is approximately 30 minutes from Duffys of Ballybin by car, south of Drogheda between Julianstown and Laytown.
