The village of Slane – famous for the rock concerts held there each summer, which have featured U2, The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen – has released a video promoting the town. The song featured on the video doesn’t match the quality of music played at the festivals, but it does showcase the village nicely. We recommend a meal in the Conyngham Arms Hotel or a long walk along the ramparts of the Boyne navigation. The village is only a twenty minute drive north of Duffys of Ballybin self-catering accommodation.
