Amazing place to spend our 2 weeks of quarantine!
We had to make a trip home from Canada and needed somewhere to quarantine for 2 weeks. My wife came across Duffys of Ballybin and we are so grateful we found it. I can not say enough about how great a place this is to stay. The accommodation consists of a double / twin room downstairs, decent sized bathroom with shower, kitchen / eating area and upstairs is a huge room with en suite with a claw foot bath and nice views over the fields. Also access to a fenced in patio with table and chairs outside. The place was spotlessly clean and he is currently leaving a three day gap between bookings in light of coronavirus. Where Duffys really wins though is in the access to the farm and woods. We have three little girls who explored fields, persecuted ladybirds and butterflies, ate wild raspberries and cherries and found nettles covered in black spiky caterpillars. They loved the cats and made memories climbing the hay (sorry if they messed it up a bit Ciarán). Ciarán provided fishing nets for the stream, kid’s bicycles, a football and was very aware of the fact that we were confined to quarters for the two weeks, not that we had any problems keeping the kids entertained with all the farm had to offer. It is fairly idyllic. Very easy to get shopping delivered from Ashbourne and takeaways also deliver so we were very easily to safely quarantine for 2 weeks without having to make contact with anyone. Ciarán was a pleasure to deal with, prompt in replies and flexible. If you need to quarantine after arriving in Ireland, this really is a great option, easily accessible from the airport but feels like it is in the middle of the countryside.
