Solheim Cup comes to Meath

The Solheim Cup is being contested in September in County Meath. It will take place in Killeen Castle, just a few miles from Duffys of Ballybin, from September 23-25.

We have bookings from enthusiastic supporters from both the U.S. and Scottish camps. They have block-booked a taxi, which is a cost-effective way to ensure that they can get quickly to and from the venue and that they don’t need a rental car or a designated driver.

The Solheim Cup is the most prestigious international team event in women’s professional golf, featuring the best US players against the best European players.

The Solheim Cup is taking place in Killeen Castle, the 12th Century Norman castle which was home to the Earls of Fingal. The Jack Nicklaus designed course winds through the 600-acre wooded estate, in Dunsany, Co. Meath.

The Irish Womens Open was also held in Killeen Castle in August.
